Don Stowe's Bike Auction
Don Stowe

Don's motorcycle collection, spare parts, books and magazines were put to auction on Saturday, April 15th at his home in East Portland. Club members had the first opportunity to make offers on the assembled items.

Bidding quickly gathered pace as the small stuff went under the hammer. Prices soared from humble beginnings to as much as $20 for the literary items. Next up were seats, luggage racks and assorted spares. Bidders surprised each other (and themselves, one suspects) with their willingness to outbid the competition. Cheers of victory and groans of disappointment were heard as business proceeded.

Finally, the two wheeled offerings came up for sale. The 850 T3 FB went for $800.00 and a nice Eldo in need of some TLC for $2,000.00. The Cal II Convert remained unsold and was destined for E-Bay, as was the Subaru-engined Eldo built by Bob Nolan.
